On January 25, Vanguard Academy Board of Trustees presented a proclamation designating February as Career and Technical Education Month 2022 in Vanguard Academy.
Career and technical education, or CTE, is education that directly prepares students for high-wage, high-demand careers. CTE covers many different fields, including health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, hospitality and management and many more.
“Vanguard Academy’s CTE department not only exposes our students to so many career pathways, but it also provides them a strong foundation and helps them build on skills that will allow them to be competitive in today’s job market,” said CTE Director Cesar Garcia.
CTE encompasses many different types of education, from classroom learning to certification programs to work-based learning opportunities outside the classroom.
