Vanguard Academy will sustain a partnership with parents and the community. Vanguard Academy will provide children “A Purpose in Life and A Reason for Learning” in a safe and friendly environment. Vanguard Academy’s purpose is to prepare students to be successful in their continuing education, to create positive learning habits and working ethics, to prepare students to be successful in their careers and to teach students to be responsible and respectful. Vanguard Academy will build a positive self-esteem and challenge students to be independent thinkers with good character. Vanguard Academy prioritizes on teaching students the highest standards of academics and extends an opportunity to express their own unique gifts and talents.

Athletics and Fine Arts Summer Camps!!

Vanguard Academy provides a safe, fun, and skill-based sports and Fine Arts experience for students in grades K-9th. Join us for a five-day summer camp, June 12-16, from 8am-12pm. Team up with our amazing coaches and teachers for the ultimate Camp experience! The deadline for register your child for the Athletics and Fine Arts Summer Camp will be Friday, May 26, please click this link for more details.

School Closure / Cierre de la Escuela

Due to this weekend’s severe inclement weather, all Vanguard Academy schools and offices will be closed Monday, May 1. Classes will resume on Tuesday May 2.

Rembrandt Secondary will remain open for students taking the AP Chemistry Exam.
Mozart Secondary will remain open for students taking the AP Spanish Exam.

Rembrandt Secondary Student signs Letter of Intent!!!

Vanguard Academy’s 1st ever student signs College Letter of Intent!

Last Friday, May 19, 2023, Surrounded by family, friends, and administrators, Osvaldo Martinez, a senior at Vanguard Rembrandt Secondary, signed a letter of intent to represent Allan College in track and cross country. Osvaldo's signing an athletic letter of intent is not only a goal reached by one of Rembrandt's top athletes but also a milestone for Vanguard Academy being the first athlete to receive an athletic scholarship to continue pursuing his educational goals as part of a college's athletic program. The signing took place during the middle school athletic celebration at Vanguard Academy Van Gogh's soccer field. As a senior at Rembrandt Secondary, Osvaldo participated in wrestling, qualified for the state cross-country season, and was part of Rembrandt's district championship team in soccer. He was also a key athlete for Rembrandt's track and field district championship team where he qualified for the regional meet as one of the area's best 800m and 1600m runners. Osvaldo addressed the middle school athletes and friends by thanking God. Osvaldo thanked also his brother for his support and expressed his gratitude to Vanguard's superintendent, Dr. Narciso Garcia, and fellow administrators. Osvaldo thanked also his coach, Brian Yanez, Athletic Coordinator Noe Alvarado, as well Rembrandt's principal Mrs. Dina Cano for their support. Vanguard Academy students and staff pray for Osvaldo's safety and success at Kansas Allen College.

Partnership Between Licensed Childcare Centers and Vanguard Academy for the 2023-2024 School Year!

Vanguard Academy is excited to announce a new partnership between Vanguard Academy Charter School and a select group of Licensed Childcare Centers in the Mission and Edinburg area. The purpose for this partnership is to prepare 3-year-old children to be Kindergarten Ready by providing access to high-quality early childhood instruction and care. Vanguard Academy has the highest Kindergarten Readiness in Hidalgo County! Every Early Childhood classroom at Vanguard Academy has a certified Bilingual teacher and is rated a High-Quality Early Childhood Program as per the Texas Education High Quality Early Childhood standards!
